Really enjoyed this video of Fred Wilson talking about why NYC is so great for web startups. Some key points:

1. Diversity - you go out dinner with people that dont know tech. Don’t suffer from echo chamber.
2. Media obsessed.
3. Great creative artists and designers.

4. Reeks of entreprenuership
5. Lifestyle - we walk, bike, take subway (aka interact with humans all the time). We go out regularly. Much more social/fun place to live.

6. Density of people and places - enfuses social media startups
7. International trade hub. Great for international biz.

8. Commercially minded, not acadmic. We make money.
9. Immigration melting-pot. Great for skilled labor.
