My former chairman at BackWeb, investor at Pando and friend Nir Barkat is Jerusalem’s new mayor. I’m so excited and happy for Nir, his family, the residents of Jerusalem (and I mean everyone) and Israel as a whole. We have an inspired, uniquely capable leader in our midst that perhaps someday will lead the nation. I can remember how impressed I was with Nir the first time we met over a decade ago. Some people just have “it”. When you combine “it” with a deep love for country you can move mountains. God knows Jerusalem is the biggest mountain of all. Congrats Nir! It’s your time. Add my shoulders to the push.
