This past weekend I played in my hometown state’s (MD) high school volleyball alumni tournament. The idea was to bring together the state’s best high school players from over the years to decide which was the best volleyball high school of all time. Nice concept started by some of the young generation players. I played for Richard Montgomery High School over 17 years ago, making me one of the oldest alumi players in the tournament. RM ended up having only 5 players but despite that we still managed to pull off a respectable third place finish. Not too shabby. Conclusion — I’m out of shape, pathetically so, but I’ve still got my competitive streak and a good dose of adrenaline reserves. RM produces scrappy underdogs, the kind of folks I like to build companies with.
Good times. Some pics here.
